MR ZUKILE NOMVETE  

Executive Chairman, Truck and Car Body Repairs 

Mr Zukile Nomvete is a South African corporate director and governance professional whose career spans commercial aviation, rail, transport, and state-owned enterprise leadership. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of Truck and Car Body Repairs, based in Johannesburg. 

Mr Nomvete’s board-level experience includes serving as Chairman of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) from 2013 to 2019, as well as governance roles with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), where he held positions as Non-Executive Director and, earlier, Deputy Chairman. His board chairmanships have also extended to Great North Transport, 1Time Airlines, and the Gauteng Tourism Authority, reflecting a long track record of leadership across regulated and public-facing industries. 

His executive career includes senior roles at South African Airways and Transnet SOC Ltd, and he holds the honorary rank of Colonel in the South African Air Force (SAAF), a position he has held since 1998. Mr Nomvete began his career as a flight engineer with Ethiopian Airlines, following aeronautical engineering training with Aer Lingus, and later completed a Management Advancement Programme (MAP) certificate at WITS Business School. 

Mr Nomvete brings a depth of corporate governance, risk management, and strategic leadership experience to his current role, providing valuable oversight and industry credibility to Truck and Car Body Repairs’ dealings with brokers, insurers, and industry stakeholders. 

MR MICHAEL ANTONIO
CERQUEIRA COSTA  

Managing Director and Shareholder, Truck and Car Body Repairs (Pty) Ltd 

Mr Michael Antonio Cerqueira Costa known to all as Mike, is a Managing Director and shareholder of Truck and Car Body Repairers (Pty) Ltd, with over 33 years of experience in the panel beating and collision repair industry. 

Mike learnt the trade from the bench, building his technical repair skills over years of hands-on experience before growing his own business. In 2007, he became a shareholder in Truck and Car Body Repairs, where he is responsible for the daily operations of the business. 

He is a Qualified VDQ (Vehicle Damage Quantifier) member, a recognised South African occupational qualification confirming his expertise in accurately quantifying vehicle damage and compiling repair quotes. He brings strong technical repair experience and estimation acumen to the partnership, providing a practical, workshop-level understanding of vehicle damage assessment and repair that underpins the business’s day-to-day operations. Outside of the business, Mike is a keen golfer. 

MRS MARIA MANUELA RAMOS COSTA 

Chief Operating Officer and Shareholder, Truck and Car Body Repairs (Pty) Ltd 

Mrs Maria Manuela Ramos Costa is a Chief Operating Officer and shareholder of Truck and Car Body Repairs (Pty) Ltd, with over 33 years of experience in the motor industry. 

Mrs Costa began her career in the motor trade in 1993, and in 2007 became one of the founding members of Truck and Car Body Repairs, where she has since headed the finance department. 

Her long-standing involvement in the business gives her a deep, practical understanding of the financial and administrative operations of a panel beating and collision repair enterprise. She brings this experience to bear on the company’s financial management and administrative oversight, providing brokers and insurers with a stable and well-informed point of contact on financial matters relating to the business.
